Privacy policy

Last updated October 22, 2026

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information the Republican City Committee (the Philadelphia Republican Party) collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this website, you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us:

  • Join form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), street address and ZIP code, the ways you would like to help, and whether you are a registered Republican.
  • Email list: your email address and, if you give it, your ZIP code.
  • Find your ward: the address you type is used only to look up your ward and is not stored.

To find your ward and division, the address you enter is checked against public geocoding services (the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder and OpenStreetMap’s Photon service). Our servers also record technical information such as a one-way scrambled version of your IP address, which we use only to block spam.

Donations are processed by Anedot on its own secure site. We do not collect or store payment card details on this website.

2. How we use it

  • To contact you about the party, its candidates, events, volunteering and Election Day
  • To connect you with the Republican organization for your ward
  • To send email updates, if you asked for them
  • To respond to your questions
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Information you give us is available to party officers and to the ward organization for the ward you live in, so they can reach you. We use service providers to run this website and its database; they may handle your information only to perform services for us.

This website links to other sites, such as candidates’ campaigns and the City Commissioners. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

4. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no data transmission over the internet or electronic storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. A cookie is set only when a party administrator signs in.

6. Children’s privacy

This website is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

7. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. To make a request, email rccphiladelphia@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
